AMATEUR FIGHT RULES

Techniques allowed:

• All punches to the body from standing and on the ground
• All kicks to the legs and body from standing
• All kicks to the legs of a grounded opponent from standing
• All kicks to the legs of a standing opponent from the ground
• All knees to the body and legs on the ground
• All elbow strikes to the legs on the ground
• All strikes with the back of the elbow to the body on the ground
• All throws and takedowns (except illegal)
• All submissions (except illegal)

Techniques banned:

• No strikes to the head or throat
• No strikes to the neck or spine
• No groin strikes
• No strikes to the elbow joints or knees
• No elbow strikes using the point of the elbow
• No head butting...No eye gouging...No fish hooking...No biting
• No grabbing the throat
• No hand contact with the face (smothering)
• No small joint attacks ie fingers/toe locks
• No heel hooks
• No suplex throws...No spine locks
• No throws that aim your opponents head at the ground
• No neck cranks
• No grabbing your opponents gloves or shorts
